Eligibility
UP HUB is exclusively for UiTM students. You must have a valid @student.uitm.edu.my email address to create an account and use our services.
User Responsibilities
As a user of UP HUB, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Comply with all applicable laws and university policies
- Not post prohibited, offensive, or fraudulent content
- Not engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the platform
- Honor your commitments in marketplace transactions
Marketplace Guidelines
When buying or selling on UP HUB:
- Accurately describe items you're selling
- Do not list prohibited items (weapons, illegal goods, etc.)
- Complete transactions in good faith
- Report any suspicious or fraudulent activity
- Resolve disputes directly with other users when possible
Content Ownership
You retain ownership of content you post on UP HUB. However, by posting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute that content on the platform.
Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Use the platform for commercial purposes outside the student marketplace
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the platform
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Violate intellectual property rights
Marketplace Disclaimer
UP HUB is a platform that connects UiTM students to buy and sell with each other directly. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers, and we do not handle payment processing or hold funds in escrow — buyers and sellers arrange and settle payment directly between themselves. UP HUB does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing, and is not responsible for disputes, non-delivery, misrepresented items, or payment issues arising from a transaction between users. Use the platform's reporting tools if something goes wrong. [NEEDS REAL COPY: confirm with legal counsel whether any dispute-resolution or refund process should be offered.]
Prohibited Items
Listings may not include weapons or ammunition, illegal drugs or controlled substances, counterfeit or stolen goods, academic dishonesty services (e.g. paid assignment/exam completion), adult content, live animals, or anything else prohibited under Malaysian law or UiTM policy. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in behavior that harms the platform or other users.
Limitation of Liability
UP HUB is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from your use of UP HUB is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts. [NEEDS REAL COPY: confirm venue/jurisdiction with legal counsel.]
Changes to Terms
